Brassica rapa1 kg

Productcode: 93201
Rapeseed (Brassica rapa subsp. Oleifera) is a plant from the crucifix family (Brassicaceae). It is a typical spring plant. The plant can reach a height of more than 1 m. At the end of March and the beginning of April the plant colors many verges in a bright yellow splendor in a short time. The yellow color in verges in May is often due to the herik (Sinapis arvensis). Flowering rapeseed can also be found everywhere in the period after April: there is an afterglow of later emerged plants until October.

The plant looks a lot like rapeseed (Brassica napus). Rapeseed flowers a little later, however, and can also be distinguished from this because in the rapeseed the buds of the unopened flowers are higher than the flowers, whereas in the rapeseed the flowers cover the buds.

The leaves are lancet-shaped, bushy hairy and stem-wide. The upper leaves are stem-wide with a deep heart-shaped foot. The leaves at the base are bright green. Rapeseed lacks the lancet-shaped leaves with stem surround. In the case of rapeseed, all leaves are also the lower blue green and have bristles at least on the underside.

The yellow flowers have four petals and form a spherical or flat crown at the top of the plant. The sepals stand away from the petals. There are a number of long sharks under the flower cluster. The shark is 4 - 6.5 cm long and has a 15 - 20 mm long bill. With rapeseed the beak is 8 - 15 mm long.
