Raphanus sativus 500 g

Productcode: 93227
Leaf radish ash (Raphanus sativus subsp. Oleiferus) is a little or no tuber-bearing form of radish ash and is used for green fertilization. Leaf ramsas belong to the genus radish from the Crucifix family (Cruciferae or Brassicaceae).

The plant grows to 80 - 110 cm high and has winch-shaped rosette leaves. The petals are usually veined purple and the fruit is a woody shark.

Bladrammenas is sown as stubble from 10 August to the end of August. When sowing too early, radish will still flower, which is undesirable in connection with possible seed formation. Leaf Ramas has a rapid development and forms a high crop, so that weeds are suppressed well. The crop is sensitive to frost, so that it can easily be plowed after frost. The dry matter yield is approximately 3900 kg per ha.

In addition, resistant varieties of leaf radish ash are used as decoy to combat harmful nematodes, such as the beet cyst nematode. The larvae are lured from the cysts by the roots of the leaf rams, but they cannot multiply on this. To achieve a good result, this must be done in the spring, because the soil temperature in the autumn is too low for good location. In addition, there are varieties that are also resistant to the quarantine nematode Meloidogyne chitwoodi. The resistant varieties ensure an active reduction of the nematode population, more than natural mortality.

If the crop is in flower for about 70%, it must be mown once to prevent seed formation.

Leaf radish ash is not very sensitive to tuber foot.
